Following a transformative journey to Jingdezhen, renowned as the porcelain capital of China, our students are eager to share their newfound knowledge. They have organized a community workshop at the prestigious Kai Tak Campus of our university, where individuals from diverse age groups and local communities converged to engage in the creation of their own clay art pieces. As facilitators, our students guided participants through the artistic process, attentively listening to their unique artistic visions and life narratives. This workshop presented an opportunity for our students to inspire not only those within the AVA, but also the wider public, as they assumed the role of art mentors and facilitated a profound immersion into the world of ceramics.
The exhibition serves as a platform to showcase the remarkable ceramic artworks crafted by participants of the Community Ceramic Workshop. Furthermore, it features a captivating collection of videos and photographs captured during the immersive experience in Jingdezhen and the subsequent workshop.
