The exhibition “ . ” (full stop) is a special “funeral” to explore the matter of death. Life is like a sentence before the full stop and we never know when and where the sentence will come to the end. By reviewing what death means to us, we may appreciate the present and lives a more fulfilling life.
Four artists, including Liu Chau Wa, Joyce Lung Yuet Ching, Alex Sze Sai Chin and Ingrid Wong Hui Yin, attempt to use various media like texts, ceramics, and painting to explore what death is from different perspectives, such as undertaking of self-reflection, the association of death and regrets, the imagination of one self’s funeral, and reincarnation and afterlife. The artists wish to trigger deeper thinking of visitor on the meaning of death, and the attitude of living for today.
