Janet Fong has been exploring various methodologies for curation by her curatorial practices and strategies with an awareness of contemporary art contexts. She also tries to study the sense of transformation associated with traditional exhibition spaces (platforms) and question its curious relation to the democratisation and evolution of art that supports the connection and collaborations with artists, cultural and academic institutions, art spaces, public agencies, scientists and other creative thinkers to create projects that transcend borders and media, so as to build physical and virtual communities where art can be accessible by all.
The course of curating allows students to learn more about curation as a discourse specific to the field of contemporary art, that is also a creative practice and sensibility building of art for them to explore and elaborate. In the context of Contemporary Art, curating is a meaning of artistic production through the exhibition-making (making of art projects), which impart value and as a tool of creations across interdisciplinary methods, art, time and space.
