In my creative artworks, data is my major medium and coding is my major artistic practice. My primary research interest is to investigate the creative appropriation of computing technologies, such as computer vision, machine learning, for applications in media arts. The deliverables are often learning resources, open source software that can be effectively integrated into the production process of art making.
With the right motivations, situations, resources and facilities, learning happens. I shall consider myself a service provider to coordinate the necessary conditions and to remove all the unnecessary obstacles such that learning can actually take place. Teaching and learning can happen anywhere and anytime beyond the university campus. The adoption of appropriate social media platforms enables students and teachers to build up the synergies and to extend the traditional learning venues to attract international participants.
