“Diorama in expansion” refers to the Natural History Diorama. It is one of the places where we learn our idea of “nature”. If this pre-cinematic device of knowing that blends both science and fiction is in a way outdated or idealized, then how would a more philosophically accurate one look like?

Rodrigo Arteaga was born in 1988 in Santiago, Chile. He received Master in Fine Arts in Sculpture at the Slade School of Fine Art University College London (2018) and BA in Fine Arts with a Major in Printmaking at Universidad de Chile (2010). He has had solo shows at: Potteries Museum (UK); Meet Factory (CZ); Sobering Galerie (FR); Galería AFA (CL). His work have shown collectively in: Hong Kong, France, England, Scotland, Germany, Spain, Bolivia, Perú, Puerto Rico, Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia and Chile. His work have also been a part of: IV Poli/Graphic Triennial of San Juan (PR); Bienal Internacional Siart 2013 (BO); 11 and 14th Bienal de Artes Mediales (CL).

The talk is CCL accredited for HKBU students. An evaluation form will be e-mailed to the participated students after the talk. Please note that the CCL unit will only be given to those students who have registered the event and submitted with a completed evaluation form by 9 May (Sat).
