Contemporary can be seen as a continuation of traditions; therefore, YAU attaches great importance to ink art developed on the basis of traditions. Students must develop a heightened sensitivity to the various situational changes through observation. The richness of history, theories, techniques and so on are essential for fostering a comprehensive understanding of artistic practice.
