“Glass” has always been fascinating due to its unusual set of properties, such as its transparency and its threading of the line between the solid and liquid states of matter. Artists learn how to blow glass, how to manipulate glass… But have they really thought about how the science behind this unique material can change the creative process, how it could create more possibilities for art making? In this talk, the speaker will strive to share her experience of bridging art and science in glass making. Through the incredible experience of studying in a science university as an artist, she hopes to share a broader view of creating glass objects.
