This public lecture aims to share relevant works on preservation and conservation of traditional games and culture, and how they help promote creative learning and social innovation. Dr. Marielza Oliveira Director and Representative of UNESCO Office in Beijing will give a speech entitled “The innovative use of ICTs in promoting educational, scientific and cultural development”. Leung Mee Ping, Associate Professor, Academy of Visual Arts, HKBU, will talk about the Play Depot with an emphasis on the importance of handmade interactive games in engaging creative learning. Ms. Kathryn Pu, Marketing Director, Integrated Branding, IEG, Tencent will examine the protection and inheritance of traditional culture under the pan-entertainment thinking. Ms. Eda Hung, MakerBay Operations Manager, will share their collaborative social innovation initiatives with World Wide Fund for Nature and Clean Air Network.
