The Academy of Visual Arts (AVA), under the School of Creative Arts (SCA) of the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), is presenting the Master's Graduation Exhibition of 2023 - Eccentric by 38 graduates. The word “Eccentric” comes from the Greek ekkentros and means “off center”. Someone or something that is out of the ordinary and interacts with the world with flare and relish. This exhibition celebrates and dances with eccentricity and immersed in its creative power to temporarily break-free from the mundane surroundings of normality. Embracing a range of mediums and styles, the works challenge us to explore the boundaries of what we know, and venture into uncharted territory. From the wild and whimsical to the structured and precise, each piece embodies the spirit of eccentricity. Join us on this escapade to follow one's dreams and romance.
