Curated by Krystle Leong and Victor Chan, Happy-Sad presents works by them and five other AVA alumni local artists at Koo Ming Kown Exhibition Gallery.
Happy-Sad visualises and honours the lucid nature of emotions, complicated by the flux of time. While art intrinsically feeds on emotions but matures in sensibilities, artists search for ways of anchoring their presence in between, from which they navigate along the spectrum across being mindlessly entranced and being mindfully engrossed. The ever-rewritten and evolving tendencies of emotions meet the figure of permanence in the shape of an artwork, juxtaposing nostalgia with futurists, and furthering the narrative of the contrary becoming ‘one’.Curated by Krystle Leong and Victor Chan, Happy-Sad presents works by them and five other AVA alumni local artists at Koo Ming Kown Exhibition Gallery.
