The 2025 Hong Kong Baptist University Associate Degree in Visual Arts Graduation Exhibition will feature 35 participating students showcasing a total of 46 works across various media, including photography, painting, sculpture and installation.
The theme of the exhibition is Boarding the ‘See’.
‘See’ corresponds to the original meaning of ‘察’ (observation), and is homophonic with ‘Sea’, implying that art is like the unknown of the ocean. The term ‘See’ carries the connotation of ‘stumbling onto the wrong path’, metaphorically representing entry into a detached, entirely new perspective. Meanwhile, through observation and awareness, one is immersed in unconventional thinking and creation, enabling the discovery of life's nuances through artistic practice.

Facing the ocean of art, we boarded a ship called ‘See’.
This ship symbolizes exploration and adventure while also carrying an awareness.
We began to view the world from a new perspective, exploring the infinite possibilities of art.
However, once we entered the world of art, we realized we might get lost.
Immersed in unconventional thinking and creating, we break away from the common perspective of the world, embracing each unique artistic perspective.
