This multifaceted project comprises professional training, application, and research of art therapy in a community rehabilitation setting. The art exhibitions highlight the artworks created by the individuals undergoing mental health rehabilitation. The art making process was guided by the participating mental health workers after they have received art therapy training and supervision in the project.
The art products were all created by the individuals with mental health issues. These artworks provide a conduit to peep into the inner world of the artists, reveal how art can instill happiness, empower life, and connect one with others.
The rationale of the project is that creative art making plays a role in fostering wellbeing of life. In light of the intense attention upon mental health crises globally and locally, this project strives to contribute knowledge transfer in the areas of art therapy, by integrating them with creative art and mental health treatment.
