“Sense Awakening” is the theme of Academic week of Visual Art Student Society (VASS) this year. Everyone uses their five senses: sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch to understand the world since they were born.  The stimulation of sense is an entire subjective judgment of individuals. In this contemporary world, the sense of sight presents in a state of fast-fashion. Most of the senses are already linked up with virtual screens. Although it can open up our eyes to the world, people tend to focus less on individual experience.

To encourage one’s exploration on their body senses in order to open up their artistic touch, the academic week would provide an opportunity for students to rethink about the essence of life, back to his or her body to practice the senses experience, and look for the art from daily life.
