Date: 18, 20, 21, 24 and 25 April 2015
Time: 9:30am – 5:30pm
Venue: CVA409, Communication and Visual Arts Building, 5 Hereford Road, Kowloon Tong

Introduction
The space used for an artistic act doesn’t need to be necessarily in a conventional place. Projects and research can be developed in a continuous flow like in an ongoing dynamic of convertible elements.

The workshop with students will directly connect with my own artistic research and my working environment. We will go to different places in the town (inside and outside) to conduct exercises of listening and recordings. We will create a sound library of typical vibrations and rhythms to prepare a collective broadcasting. As a conclusion of this <<Sounding Quilting Bee>>, we will propose a public display in a space chosen to show it.

Application method
Student or alumni who is interested to join the workshop, please send an email to Mr. Kevin Law at kevinlaw@hkbu.edu.hk. Please indicate your full name, student ID (for current student) or HKID number (for AVA alumni), email address and mobile number in the application email. Students are expected to attend all of the scheduled sessions. The outcome of the workshop will be exhibited in May 2015; students who enrolled the workshop are expected to help with the installation and dismantle of the exhibition.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Kevin on 3411 8259.

About Pascal Broccolichi
Pascal Broccolichi’s works have long explored the boundaries between sound and vision. Developing within several different disciplines, his work nevertheless finds its source in an approach focussed on listening and, more specifically, in sound envisaged as a vocabulary of forms which lend themselves to the creation of installations.詳情請參閱英文版網頁。
